Dr. Álvaro Hernandez

Dr. Álvaro Hernandez is a data scientist and PhD in particle physics at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. During his PhD he developed strong mathematical and statistical skills, as well as a keen interest in applying them to solve practical problems.

In 2020, Alvaro participated in S2DS (“From Science To Data Science”), Europe’s most prestigious intensive data science training programme for physics PhDs. He is an expert in data analysis with C++, Python and R.

The primary role within Detektia is to lead the technology strategy within the organization to develop and maintain cutting-edge solutions that take full advantage of the capabilities of satellite technology, Machine Learning and data science in the civil engineering sector. In this position, technical expertise and strategic vision are critical to drive the company’s success and competitiveness in a dynamic and constantly evolving market.
